Submitting a report about public space

Do you have a notification about, for example, waste, a defective waste container, pavement, cleaning, greenery, blocked sewers, public lighting, or pest control? Please provide the information to the municipality.

You can report your incident to the municipality in three ways:

  • via the website BuitenBeter
  • via the app BuitenBeter
  • by telephone
Report via website BuitenBeter

make a report via website BuitenBeter (in Dutch)

On the website, click on "Nieuwe Melding" (top right of the page). Select the category the report is about. Indicate the location and a clear description of the situation. Add photos if you have them.

Would you like to stay informed about the handling of your report? Then fill in your name and contact details.

Report via app BuitenBeter

To solve problems in the outdoor area, the municipality works with the app BuitenBeter. The app BuitenBeter has a number of advantages that will improve our services.

Download the app BuitenBeter from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

Report by phone

Are you unable to report via the website BuitenBeter or via the app BuitenBeter? Please contact the municipality during office hours via (0297) 513 111tel:+31297513111.

Please note! Always report a dangerous situation or an urgent matter by phone. This will allow us to take action as quickly as possible.
Is the report after working hours or during the weekend? Please stay on the line until you are transferred.

Procedure

It is important to provide a clear description of the report and give us as much information as possible. If we do not receive a complete request, it becomes more difficult for us to handle the report, especially if we cannot reach you to request further information.

Tips for submitting the report:

  • Ensure that you describe the report as fully and comprehensively as possible.
  • Include a clear location, numbers of waste containers or broken streetlights if applicable, and consider attaching clear photos.
  • Preferably include your contact information (name, phone number, or email address) in the report. This will allow us to reach out to you if we need more information. In most cases, you will also be kept informed about the progress of your report.
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

  • Your personal data is not retained for longer than necessary for processing your application or report.
  • Other organizations only receive your data if it is legally required.
  • If you request it, the municipality will inform you about the purpose of the data and what will happen to it.
