Requesting an extract or copy of civil registry records

You can request your extract or copy digitally or you can make an appointment and come to the town hall in person. Make your choice below. Please note: the event (a birth, a death, a marriage, a registration or termination of a partnership) must have taken place in the municipality of Uithoorn. The municipality will not refund the application fee if it turns out that the event did not take place in Uithoorn.

Certificates

Please note: you can only request one of the extracts below if the event (a birth, a death, a marriage, a divorce, a registration or termination of a partnership) have taken place in the municipality of Uithoorn:

  • Birth certificate
  • Death certificate
  • Marriage certificate
  • Divorce certificate
  • Certificate of registered partnership
  • Certificate of termination of partnership
Costs

For requesting an (official) extract or copy from the civil registry, you will be charged €17,10 (rate for 2025).

The municipality will not refund this amount if it turns out that the event did not take place in Uithoorn.

Procedure

If you come to the town hall, you can pay for the copy in cash or by card at the counter. You will receive the copy immediately.

To apply for an extract or copy, you will need:

  • Your valid identification document

If you want to request a copy for someone else, you should also bring:

  • A written authorization
  • A copy of the valid identification document of the person for whom you are making the request.
