Free Safe Wi-Fi for Visitors

The municipality of Uithoorn is joining publicroam.nl (in Dutch) to make the public Wi-Fi network safe and easily accessible for visitors.

Visitors can create an account linked to their phone number and email address. After that, they can automatically log in to the public Wi-Fi network of all municipalities that offer this via publicroam.

Free and Safe Wi-Fi

In public locations, it is not always safe to use free Wi-Fi. Users often have to accept unclear terms about data usage to access the internet. Not everyone reads these terms. We choose a Wi-Fi network via publicroam that is free, easy, and as safe as possible.

Wi-Fi Locations

In the municipality of Uithoorn, two locations are connected to publicroam: the town hall and the municipal yard. Uithoorn joins cities that use publicroam, including Amstelveen, Amsterdam, The Hague, Wassenaar, Vlaardingen, Valkenswaard, Heeze, Hoorn, Delft, as well as the DUO municipalities Ouder-Amstel and Diemen.
